hello again my old friends

Sat Jul 11, 2009, 5:46 PM
  • Mood:
  • Listening to: modest mouse- a different city
  • Reading: tropic of cancer- henery miller
there is something to be said for a community of artists sharing a space be it physical or in this case virtual. it is as if we are all in the same apartment building of run down, pant encrusted studios popping in each other to see the new works and shoot the shit. this is a really cool resource. thanks everybody...
as for me i am in durango colorado still going to school but out on summer break. i have fully submitted myself to trying to become an art teacher or literature teacher, really whatever i can get my hands on wherever i'll take it. college is a blast i am in to my senior year and feel just as clueless as when i started. i am a little better at playing the game but still have miles to go in feeling comfortable in a class room. i love my professors who continually push me to experiment and develop in ways i had no knowledge of. sculpture has become my absoulte favorite. there is an immense amount of freedom in material and the things that rise out of what was previously a pile of rubble. i can see what i want in my head i cant put it on paper, but my hands move in the round.
life is exciting, new people, new places, new experiences, new inspiration. i am trying to network with the art community in durango, but it is a private little scene. trying though, and have met some amazing individuals that are beautiful muses to me.
push what we know, love everything in between, the god is in the details.....

My biggest fear in life is that the universe works
I guess to be blessed we have to be cursed first
Well obviously waiting on honesty hurts worse
Than arguing over how much the dirts worth

Hey look at my name! :) We could be two of the Silmarils. And where's the third? :D

So the Silmarils were made. Like the crystal of diamonds they appeared, and yet were more strong than adamant. :floating:
